Tiree Lodge Hotel

Seaside and beach hotels in the Western Isles

Forty five minutes takes you away from the hustle and bustle of Glasgow to a small airstrip surrounded by machair land grazed by sheep and cattle, inhabited by numerous species of birds and the home of rare moths, and orchids.

From the moment you touch down or step ashore on Tiree you know you have arrived at a very special place. Whether it is the coast that attracts you, with its sweeping white sand beaches and views across to the mountains of Mull, or the gentle pastures, a mass of colour from May through July, you are filled with a joyful sense of space and freedom.

Tiree Lodge Hotel, nestles on the shores of Gott Bay and was originally the hunting lodge for the Duke of Argyll. Gott Bay is a long wide expanse of southeast facing beach running from Scarinish & Gott Pier Ferry Terminal at its western end round to the hamlet of Brock, the little island of Soa & Ruaig at the east.

Tiree is the most westerly island of the Inner Hebrides. Thanks to its location on the Atlantic Ocean, Tiree is one of the sunniest places in the UK. It is also one of the windiest and is a magnet for windsurfers.
