Golf breaks in the Western Isles of Scotland

Tiree has a delightful nine hole golf course at Vaul, 2831 yards long, which was originally laid out during the naval invasion of 1886, and which was built by airmen during WW2. This has a number of idiosyncratic local rules concerning sheep on the course and fences round the greens and is well worth the challenge, especially on a windy day. A challenging 9 hole course to be enjoyed by all. Don’t bother looking for that lost golf ball. Instead just stand and admire the spectacular views out over the Atlantic !
